Project Coordinator SLS PP&C Office

We are seeking highly motivated, talented candidates to join our staff. The Project Coordinator (PC) will support the Space Launch System Program (SLS) Planning and Control (PP&C) Office on the Marshall Integrated Program Support Services (MIPSS) Contract and will be located at Marshall Space Flight Center. Supporting the management team will include project data management and integration, meeting support, resource tracking and reporting, and special study/analyses Specific skills and responsibilities shall include, but not limited to:

  • Provide support for vertical and horizontal Program integration in support of the PP&C Office
  • Provide support for distributing and communicating Program reports, HQ reports, status reports, meeting items, management/lead feedback, rosters, and other communications including utilizing SharePoint for communication facilitation.
  • Facilitate communication flow across Program and Cross Program interfaces
  • Develop and maintain the team calendar and assist in coordinating and providing logistical support for events.
  • Participate in SLS PP&C Office, SLS Program, and Center meetings and aiding the development of SLS PP&C briefings for internal and external use, and prepare presentations as required.
  • Provide tracking and reporting of PP&C data to systems and forums
  • Provide logistical support for meetings, programmatic reviews, working groups, panels, and boards.
  • Provide support which includes, but not limited to, schedule evaluation, documenting issues, tracking and coordinating closure of action items and reporting status, presentation package preparation, and management of information flow.
  • Support to PP&C special study/analysis briefing and/or report findings for each special study and analysis and support reporting to the SLS PP&C Office.
  • Develop lists, reports, and charts for the overall management and integration of the organization to include, but not limited to, organization charts, team lists, programmatic data, and briefings.
  • Support the SLS PP&C organization in digital content creation, storage and retention.
  • Identify areas for improved office efficiency and propose processes and/or products to achieve desired outcome. Implement as directed by SLS PP&C management.
  • Maintain proper security of all controlled information.



  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 12 years' overall experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in similar professional program/project office environment with specific experience in supporting executive level organizations
  • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office products including SharePoint is required
  • Prior NASA or government support experience with focus in a program / project office is required
  • Knowledge of the SLS Program and the Element organizational offices is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NASA and Federal Government records management policy and procedures is preferred
  • Knowledge of the methods used for digital content creation, storage and retention.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Candidate is required to have demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of an organization is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation

Essential Functions:

  • Work Environment - Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
  • Physical Requirements- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. (5% of time).
  • Equipment and Machines - Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
  • Attendance- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Other Essential Functions- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
