Schedulers are essential to NASA's success on CPSS. The scheduling analysts develop, coordinate, and maintain technical schedules of all types and sizes. Schedulers will also track schedule progress and develop custom reports for the customer. The CPSS PP&C program currently has scheduling analysts at MSFC, ARC, AFRC, GRC, JSC, NASA HQ and KSC.

Job Description:

Develops, maintains, and coordinates technical schedules for large to medium scale projects from proposal level to detailed level schedules.

Conducts schedule analysis and assessments to ensure schedules are structured properly with complete network logic, are capable of reporting critical path(s), and follow industry scheduling best practices.

Tracks schedule progress and develops custom reports for the customers.

Provides guidance and recommendations on schedule work-arounds and recovery plans for customers to make effective decisions.

Analysis of hardware prime contractors schedules to ensure compliance with DCMA 14 point health check and NASA Best Practices.


We will be hiring multiple candidates from a BS/BA and 0 years of experience to a MS/MA with 15+ years.

Proficient in Microsoft Project Server and other Microsoft Office products; experience with Milestone Professional and/or One Pager Pro desirable. Software skills including intermediate to advanced Share Point and technical proficiency with MS Project is highly desired. (Experience with Primavera or Open Plan will be considered)

Hands-on experience developing detailed schedules, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and performing critical path analysis.

Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills, and work under minimal supervision.

Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of an organization.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Essential Functions

Work Environment- Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines- Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.

Other Essential Functions- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
