We have an exciting opportunity for a Vibro-acoustic Analysis Engineer to join our team with Teammate company, Nexus Solutions.
This position will support NASA's major human spaceflight programs supporting vehicle design and qualification.
The selected candidate will:
- Perform modal, random vibration, vibroacoustic, and shock analysis
- Build and process structural dynamic models
- Be proficient in finite element, statistical energy, and boundary element modeling techniques
- Perform modal and vibroacoustic model correlation and environment reconstruction
- Support modal, vibroacoustic, random vibration, and shock testing
- Have experience with NASA qualification and acceptance vibration test requirements
- Prepare structural analysis reports and presentations
- Provide guidance for vibration test setup and test plans
- Perform other tasks assigned
Qualifications
Requisition Qualifications:

- Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiarity with desktop software applications, MS Office is required
- Basic understanding of VA-One, Wave-6 or equivalent vibro-acoustic program
- MATLAB, C++, or Python programming experience
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Requisition Preferences:
- BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited engineering school and three (3) years of direct engineering experience, or an MS degree from an accredited engineering school and two (2) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph.D. and one (1) year of direct engineering experience - OR -
- MS or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Working proficiency of VA-One or Wave-6 or equivalent Vibro-acoustic program
- NASTRAN or equivalent FEM software
- Previous spaceflight hardware experience, specifically with dynamic analysis andtesting
