Position Summary:

Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, GA currently has an opening for a Training Support Manager to provide training management support to the MCSFBN for approximately 1,000 military members. This management support includes advising senior military leadership on status of MCSFBN command training and qualifications programs to ensure the MCSFBN remains trained and qualified at a level to support NWS operations.



  • Monitor and report weekly the command's military training and qualification levels for approximately 1,000 military members.
  • Attend weekly Operations Department Leadership meetings to ensure that ASMI, Sharepoint and MILES capabilities are or can be aligned with operation and planning requirements.
  • Monitor MCSFBN personnel rotations to ensure personnel training/qualifications and skill levels align with organizational and Navy-wide requirements.
  • Recommend MCSFBN staffing rotations to ensure no gaps in corporate knowledge, mission leadership, or operational needs.
  • Advise MCSFBN command leadership on Navy training requirements.
  • Provide administrative oversight of the battalion's JQR's, PQS's, and conduct qualification reviews, including drafting new Job Qualification Standard to correct deficiencies noted during inspections and updating existing JQS when required.
  • Maintain MCSFBN command chronology data, manage permissions to websites to secure access to protected libraries/task lists/files/website assets and create and edit website content/custom lists/calendars/workflows in support of command leadership SharePoint requirements.
  • Inspect and review the training program conforms to established regulations and policies
  • Attend and represent the Training Department at multiple meetings and working groups
  • Measure and evaluate training effectiveness
  • Draft new Job Qualification Standard to correct deficiencies noted during inspections and update when required
  • Maintain, update, and provide access to the command training database programs
  • Maintain the visual information program
  • Provide advice and consultation via email, phone and in person

Minimum Education & Experience Required:

      High School Diploma

  • 24 months experience of ASMi watch bill and MILES Program management
